| Anne was born in Sydney, Australia in 1951 and first trained as a commercial photographer. In 1973 1974 she studied at the National Art School of Sydney and from 1975 to 1977 at the Alexander Mackie School of Art (C.A.E). She paints in oils, water colour and mixed media and her paintings are to be found in several countries throughout the world.
In 1984, she sailed with Thomas and her son Toby back from New Zealand to Scotland via Australia. Since settling here, she has taught painting and drawing to adults at the Moray Speyside Community Centre and at the Aberlour House Summer School foir gifted children. She is a partner in the running of the Speyside Pottery and decorates some of the pots.
